Smoothies are the ultimate on-the-go snack or breakfast, packed with nutritious ingredients that can help your skin glow and boost your immune system.
You may have heard the word “superfood” before and wondered what makes a food, well, super?
According to Health.com, “superfoods are nutrient powerhouses that pack large doses of antioxidants, polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals”.
This means that adding superfoods into your diet can help prevent premature ageing and boost your body’s natural ability to fight disease.
Since most superfoods can be damaged by exposure to heat, consuming them in your favourite smoothie is a great way to ensure that you achieve the maximum health benefit for your body.
We’ve created 5 exceptional Superfood Smoothie recipes for you to try, and each smoothie is enhanced with at least one Superfood that benefits your body in a specific way.
Vegan or avoiding dairy? We’ve got you covered! For recipes that call for milk or yoghurt, simply substitute for your favourite brand of almond milk or vegan yoghurt.
